Una donna svedese, tale Lisa Johansen, che per oltre 20 anni ha cercato di convincere tutti del fatto di essere la vera figlia di Elvis Presley e che la persona che conosciamo come Lisa Marie avrebbe rubato la sua identità, ha iniziato una causa legale contro la famiglia Presley, chiedendo oltre 130 milioni di dollari di risarcimento per danni da diffamazione e per stress emotivo.
La Johansen aveva iniziato ad avere notorietà dopo aver pubblicato, nel 1998, un libro di memorie dal titolo "I, Lisa Marie: The True Story of Elvis Presley’s Real Daughter" (Io, Lisa Marie: La vera storia della reale figlia di Elvis Presley).
L'interesse nei suoi confronti è svanito nel momento in cui, a quanto si dice, si è rifiutata di sottoporsi al test del DNA. Nel 2015 è andata in visita a Graceland, ma la sua presenza è passata praticamente inosservata.
