Gerald Burke, proprietario del B&B Club, ha raccontato: "L'ultima volta il posto era pieno, il parcheggio era pieno e le mie cinque cameriere non potevano nemmeno muoversi per servire i tavoli".
E J.G. McCuin, musicista della band di Jimmy Haggett, dice: "Sapevo che sarebbe diventato grande, perché l'ultima volta che abbiamo suonato le ragazze del club si sono alzate in piedi e hanno iniziato a strappargli la maglietta. Ha preso in prestito il mio cappotto per andare alla sua macchina''.
Viene pubblicato il singolo di Elvis Presley "Love Me Tender", il primo singolo ad aver venduto un milione di copie in pre-vendita.

Elvis Presley arriva in ritardo alla prova dei vestiti per il film "Easy Come, Easy Go" e pranza nel camerino; di conseguenza arriva in ritardo anche alla session di registrazione e questo viene annotato dalla produzione.
Dewey Phillips, il primo dj a trasmettere in radio "That's All Right Mama", il primo disco di Elvis Presley, muore all'età di 42 anni. (La stessa età che aveva Elvis quando è morto nel 1977).
