Il Colonnello Parker, per dare modo anche ai giovani di assistere ad un concerto di Elvis, decide di aggiungere un'esibizione al pomeriggio alle ore 14.00 alle esibizioni già previste in serata (alle ore 20.30 ed a mezzanotte). Al concerto pomeridiano si presentano 700 persone.

Elvis Presley arriva a Los Angeles ed alloggia nell'appartamento e nella suite presidenziale del Beverly Wilshire Hotel insieme ai suoi cugini Gene e Junior Smith, a George Klein, Arthur Hooton e Bitsy Mott. La band, invece, alloggia al Knickerbocker Hotel.
28 APRILE 1960:
Pre-produzione del film "G.I. Blues".
Elvis Presley prosegue l'incisione della colonna sonora, lavorando dalle ore 12.30 alle ore 23.00 agli studi RCA di Hollywood.
A causa, però, delle nuove regole sindacali, che hanno stabilito la durata delle sessions e delle interruzioni, non si riesce a concludere nulla di soddisfacente. Si decide, pertanto, di proseguire la settimana successiva, agli studi Radio Recorders, sempre ad Hollywood, dove Elvis si è sempre sentito maggiormente a suo agio.
