Elvis Presley è ancora ricoverato in ospedale. Al pubblico viene fatto sapere che ha problemi al fegato e che si sta sottoponendo ad alcune analisi.
Suo padre Vernon ha un attacco di cuore mentre è a casa e viene ricoverato al Baptist Memorial Hospital, in una camera vicino a quella di Elvis.

A Graceland si svolge un'altra session di registrazione, che inizia alle ore 21.00 e termina alle 2.00 del mattino, tra molteplici partenze e arresti.
Elvis Presley si impegna quando registra la canzone "For The Heart" di Dennis Linde ed una versione molto sentita della canzone "Hurt", prendendo ispirazione dalla versione originale di Roy Hamilton del 1954.
